Fun at the Fair

The Northern Wisconsin State Fair Association has been serving the Chippewa Valley area for over 120 years, in fact this will be the 122nd year! Each year the fair offers all kinds of family-fun activities, big-name artists, carnival rides, food galore, and more. You name it and they have it. ChemCeed is a proud sponsor of the fair and attends every year as a group. This year they decided to showcase their favorite foods at the fair, check them out below!

Alyssa – Cotton Candy

“My all-time favorite fair food is definitely cotton candy! It reminds me of being a kid and of Disney World’s Main Street Confectionery. I never miss out on a chance to snag some!”

Mel – Sirloin Tips

“You can never go wrong with sirloin tips, especially at the state fair!”

Vickie – Corn Dog

“I choose the corn dog because it’s a fair staple and it screams summer.”

Katrina – Pulled Pork Poutine

“Pulled Pork Poutine was my favorite this year.  Who doesn’t love French fries topped with pulled pork, fresh cheese curds and gravy?!”

Tom – Cheese Curd Taco

“The taco was delicious! I would have never thought of putting a brat and cheese curds in a taco shell, but I am so glad that I got to try it!”

Dana – Deep-Fried Cookie Dough

“I have a big sweet tooth, so the deep-fried cookie dough is my absolute favorite. I get it every year at the fair.”

Rolly – Fries

“I’ve been going to NWSF since 1985 and nothing has changed. The French Fry Stand was my favorite then and are still today. My love for the fries is something that I have passed to my son. We will continue to share this love for fries for many years to come.”

Myra – Deep-Fried Mushroom

“I love going to the deep fried everything stand (cheese curds, cauliflower, etc.)  to get the mushrooms, since it reminds me of a tradition we’d do every year at the fair and share them as a family. This year especially counted with my dad, since he’d do this with my mom every year and we went yesterday for the first time without her being with us. Glad that it was his idea to keep with tradition, in memory of her.”

If you can’t make it to the Northern Wisconsin State Fair, hopefully you are able to attend a fair somewhere and share in all the joy that it brings. ChemCeed would like to wish everyone a safe and happy summer.
