Application
Tetra n butyl titanate (TNBT) is a coating chemical and catalyst and wire enamel varnishing. TNBT is mainly used as catalyst for esterification, trans-esterification and olefin polymerization. It is very suitable as an adhesion promoting and cross-linking agent for hydroxylic compounds or heat and corrosion resistant coatings. TNBT also be used as a moisture scavenger to prolong shelf life of moisture sensitive high viscosity products. TNBT can only be used as an additive to solvent based products.
