Application
Tert-Butyl Acetate (TBAc) is a VOC-exempt, environmentally friendly solvent widely used in lacquers, enamels, inks, adhesives, thinners, and industrial cleaners. It enhances compatibility with resins such as nitrocellulose, acrylic, alkyd, polyester, and polyurethane, while also providing a synergistic effect when combined with other oxygen-containing solvents. As regulatory pressures grow to reduce VOCs and hazardous air pollutants, TBAc offers a sustainable solution by lowering atmospheric photochemical reactivity, reducing harmful emissions, and replacing conventional solvents like toluene, xylene, esters, ketones, and hydrocarbons—helping manufacturers meet compliance and environmental goals.
