Application
Polybutyl Titanate (PBT) is an anti-corrosive coating chemical, whose main functions include promoting adhesion, serving as a polymer cross-linker, and forming polymeric titanium dioxide layers. PBT is commonly used in air dry coatings and heat resistant paint that can withstand temperatures up to 500 F. It also functions as a Lewis acid catalyst in esterification and transesterification reactions.
