Application
Glycol Ether PM Acetate is a slow-evaporating solvent known for its low viscosity making it ideal for applications requiring superb viscosity reduction and broad solvency, similar to chlorinated solvents. Glycol Ether PM Acetate is widely used as an active solvent in solvent-based coatings and silk screen printing inks, where it promotes excellent flow, leveling, and film formation. It is compatible with various coating polymers including cellulose acetate butyrate, nitrocellulose, epoxy resins, acrylic copolymers, and phenoxy resins. Additionally, Glycol Ether PM Acetate functions effectively as a retarder solvent in lacquers, thinners, and baking enamels, and can also be utilized in urethane systems. Beyond coatings, it finds specialized use in semiconductor processing for photoresist formulations, as well as in electronics cleaning applications for degreasing circuit baths and removing solder films. With a moderate evaporation rate, powerful solvency, and high dilution ratio, Glycol Ether PM Acetate delivers excellent performance in a wide variety of industrial and specialty applications.
