Application
Glycol Ether DPM (Dipropylene Glycol Monomethyl Ether) is a mid- to slow-evaporating, hydrophilic solvent with 100% water solubility and a higher flash point than PM glycol ether, making it easier to handle, store, and transport. It is particularly effective for flushing mixing and metering equipment and feed lines, as it rapidly and completely removes polyols, crystallized isocyanates, and other urethane intermediates. Due to its excellent coupling properties, Glycol Ether DPM is widely used in latex emulsion coatings and water-reducible coatings, helping to prevent emulsion shocking when hydrophobic solvents are present. Additionally, it finds use in cleaning applications, thanks to its solvent strength, chemical stability, and intermediate evaporation rate, which allows for flexibility across a broad range of solvent systems.
