Application
Ethylene Glycol (EG) is a versatile chemical primarily used as an antifreeze and coolant in automotive and industrial applications due to its ability to significantly lower the freezing point of liquids. It also functions as a key raw material in the production of polyester fibers and plastics. Additionally, EG is commonly found in hydraulic brake fluids and heat transfer fluids. Beyond these core uses, Ethylene Glycol serves as a humectant, offers excellent electrical conductivity properties, and acts as a precursor in various polymer synthesis processes.
