Application
Ethylene Bis Stearamide (EBS) is a synthetic amide wax widely utilized for its multifunctional properties as a release agent, antistatic agent, antifoaming agent, and lubricant. In plastic processing, EBS serves as both an internal and external lubricant and dispersing agent, improving the dispersion of solid compounding materials, enhancing processability, reducing surface friction and abrasion, and contributing to color stability and polymer degradation resistance. In coatings and inks—both solvent- and water-based—micronized EBS provides excellent anti-blocking, slip, and water-repellent properties, while also improving scratch resistance with minimal impact on transparency. It is used as a degassing agent in powder coatings, a meat release agent in can coatings, and offers outstanding lubricating and dispersion performance across a variety of applications including adhesives and powder metallurgy.
