Application
Dioctyl Maleate (DOM) is a maleic acid ester that functions as both a plasticizer and a co-monomer. It is commonly used in resins to enhance elasticity and flexibility. DOM can be polymerized with vinyl acetate, vinyl chloride (PVC), acrylates, and stearates, making it suitable for the production of adhesives, emulsion paints, surfactants, textile coatings, and wetting agents. Additionally, it is utilized in organic synthesis, including the production of succinic acid derivatives, and serves as a key comonomer in vinyl and acrylic emulsion polymerization for paints and adhesives.
