Application
Dicyandiamide (DICY) is now available in a new liquid form designed to prevent nitrate leaching and reduce nitrous oxide emissions. It can be customized for color, odor, and load. DICY is widely used as a slow-release fertilizer and as a curing agent for epoxies in the adhesive industry. It also serves as a flame retardant additive in the paper and textile industries. Additional applications include powder coatings, dielectric coatings, water treatment chemicals, rubber, dye fixing, pharmaceuticals, and as a stabilizer compound for PVC flooring.
