Application
Benzyl Benzoate is a colorless organic compound, formally the ester of benzyl alcohol and benzoic acid, and appears as a liquid at temperatures above 17°C, requiring insulated storage below that point. It is easily prepared, non-toxic, and primarily used as a plasticizer in the manufacture of polymeric materials, including synthetic rubbers, PVC, polyethylene, and other plastics.
