Application
2-Propylheptanol (2-PH) is a high molecular weight, branched oxo-alcohol primarily used as an intermediate in the production of high molecular weight plasticizers—mainly esters—for PVC formulations. It is a high-boiling liquid, ideal for applications requiring thermal stability and durability. 2-PH is a key raw material for the production of DPHP, a widely used plasticizer for PVC, and is also utilized in the manufacture of resins, processing solvents, detergents, surfactants, and acrylic resins.
