Application
2-Ethylhexyl Acrylate (2-EHA) is an acrylic ester widely used as an intermediate in the production of polymers and as a feedstock for various chemical syntheses. It readily forms homopolymers and copolymers with a broad range of monomers, including acrylic acid and its salts, amides, esters, methacrylates, acrylonitrile, maleic acid esters, vinyl acetate, vinyl chloride, vinylidene chloride, styrene, butadiene, unsaturated polyesters, and drying oils. Thanks to its high reactivity, 2-EHA serves as a valuable intermediate, easily undergoing addition reactions with a wide variety of organic and inorganic compounds.
