Application
2,4,6-Tri(dimethylaminomethyl)phenol (DMP 30) is a highly reactive tertiary amine known for its low viscosity, low vapor pressure, and excellent color stability. It is primarily used as a co-activating accelerator in epoxy systems, enhancing the performance of other curing agents such as polyamides, fatty amidoamines, polysulfides, and acid anhydrides. Its high reactivity allows for faster cure rates while maintaining superior processing characteristics. Beyond its primary role, DMP 30 also serves as a catalyst in the production of urethane elastomers, isocyanurate foams, epoxy homopolymerization, and isocyanate trimerization. Its combination of easy handling and stable processing conditions makes it ideal for a variety of formulations. DMP 30 finds applications across multiple industries, including adhesives and sealants, construction chemicals, epoxy resins, plastics, resins and rubber, accelerators, coatings, and resins.
