Successful Groundbreaking Event at ChemCeed

ChemCeed Leadership Team with Congressman Kind

Earlier this month, ChemCeed held a groundbreaking event for our main office expansion in Chippewa Falls, WI.  The event was held on Thursday, June 2nd and was a great success!  We were joined by Congressman Ron Kind (WI), the Chippewa Falls Area Chamber of Commerce, Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, and many area leaders, friends, and business owners.

Congressman Kind spoke about the economic impact of our industry and applauded the work we are doing both regionally and globally.  He committed to going to back to Washington with the goal of opening up discussions with members of Congress about the issues facing the supply chain and how distribution companies can provide an important perspective on this topic.

Charlie Walker from the Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation also spoke at the event, saying, “There are studies that 85% of jobs are created by the entrepreneurs of small businesses. Rolly – you and Mel are an example of that. And what you do for this community besides job creation is volunteerism.” This sentiment was echoed by Chippewa Falls Chamber of Commerce Chair, Amy Forcier-Pabst, “You are a pillar here in the community and we appreciate that.”

Also speaking was Chuck Hull, representing the City of Chippewa Falls, who thanked ChemCeed “for their support and their vision that Chippewa Falls would be a place they could do business.”

The ChemCeed team is grateful for the outpouring of support we have received.  This is an exciting time for our business, as we are not only growing in square footage but also in personnel.  We have added several new positions at ChemCeed this year and are at capacity for office space.  We look to add several more employees after the expansion is complete.  Chippewa Falls is an ideal base of operations, providing the space, support, and community that is essential for all businesses to succeed.

As we move forward with the next phase of our expansion, to be completed by the end of the year, we offer our most sincere gratitude to those who have helped us reach this point: our customers, vendors, community partners, and our amazing team.  We look forward to many more years in this wonderful community, growing and breaking ground together.
