Last month, I had the opportunity to attend my first industry conference since joining the ChemCeed sales team this summer. The International Elastomer Conference was held in Knoxville, Tennessee from October 10-13 and ChemCeed exhibited at this event.
I was accompanied at IEC with my colleague, Myra Detienne. The exhibitor list featured over 130 companies and over 1,900 attendees from all over the globe. Attending and exhibiting this conference were chemists, engineers, marketing professionals, plant managers, sales, scientists, technicians, and others in the rubber, polymer, and related fields in the industry.
As a newcomer to this industry, it was an incredible experience to meet hundreds of people from the United States and other countries. It was educational to learn firsthand how these industries connect to work with one another. It was a great opportunity for me to network and build relationships with customers, prospects, and vendors.
I enjoyed interacting and meeting with customers of Myra’s and other exhibitors from different backgrounds. The whole experience gave me a good launch and introduction into creating new business opportunities moving forward.
