Last month, ChemCeed Operations & Compliance Manager, Alyssa Michaels, and Vice President, Rolly Enderes attended their alma mater, McDonell High School’s Junior Achievement Career Day. Over 150 students attended the event, called “JA in a Day,” which gave them the opportunity to see and explore different industries for future careers. Along with a career exploration fair, classes were held with topics that helped address soft skills help with work readiness.
ChemCeed had the pleasure of representing the Transportation, Distribution & Logistics booth. Alyssa spent the morning talking with students about her job duties and how they relate to these industries. “This was a great way to spend time out of the office and contribute to the community. Many of the students had great questions about what ChemCeed does and the products that we supply.”
ChemCeed Vice President, Rolly Enderes, was also part of a group of business leaders that participated in an entrepreneur panel. He shared stories about helping start ChemCeed as well as talking about starting his first business as an events/wedding DJ right out of high school. The students had great questions about the struggles and rewards of being an entrepreneur. Rolly hopes he has helped some aspiring entrepreneurs in their journey.
