Application
Tartaric Acid is a natural food-grade acidulant derived from grape byproducts, making it the only source used for industrial production. Present in many fruits, it is widely applied in beverages and baking, where it imparts a sour taste and functions as a leavening agent, with its potassium salt known as cream of tartar. Beyond food, it is also used in silvering mirrors and leather tanning. Kosher certified and versatile, Tartaric Acid serves as an antioxidant, acidifier, flavor enhancer, stabilizer, and sequestering agent across a range of applications.
