Application
Potassium Tripolyphosphate TG (KTPP) is a hygroscopic white granular or powdered material that is soluble in water, producing moderately alkaline solutions. It is an excellent sequestering and dispersing agent, with broad applications in detergents, paints and coatings, elastomers, and paper processing. KTPP is particularly effective as a dispersing agent in latex paints and also functions as a buffer and chelating agent. Additionally, it serves as a corrosion inhibitor by forming a protective film on metal surfaces, making it a versatile additive across industrial and commercial uses.
