Application
Ditridecyl Adipate (DTDA) is an adipate diester that is useful as a Synthetic Group V base oil, especially where its excellent low temperature properties are required. DTDA can be added to Group III and Group IV based lubricants to improve properties such as solubility, reducing varnish, and extending the fluid life. It is particularly useful in applications such as metalworking fluids, greases, compressor and engine oils, hydraulic fluid, and Dielectric coolants. This ester performs well in high-temperature conditions as well as low-temperatures, have high viscosity indices, low volatility, and overall good lubricating properties.
