Application
Ditridecyl Adipate (DTDA) is a clear adipate diester widely used as a Synthetic Group V base oil, valued for its excellent low-temperature fluidity, high viscosity index, and overall strong lubricating properties. It performs well across a broad temperature range, offering low volatility, oxidation resistance, and good solvency. DTDA is commonly blended with Group III and Group IV lubricants to improve additive solubility, reduce varnish, extend fluid life, and provide detergency benefits. Its applications include metalworking fluids, greases, compressor and engine oils, hydraulic fluids, dielectric coolants, gear oils, textile oils, and both 2-stroke and 4-stroke oils. Additionally, it is useful in gearbox seal swelling and provides reliable performance in demanding lubrication environments.
