Application
Diisodecyl Sebacate (DIDS) is a sebacate diester that is useful as a Synthetic Group V base oil, especially where its excellent low temperature properties are required. DIDS can be added to Group III and Group IV based lubricants to improve properties such as solubility, reducing varnish, and extending the fluid life. It is particularly useful in applications such as metalworking fluids, greases, Compressor and Engine oils, and Dielectric coolants. It is well suited for environmentally friendly lubricants due to its biodegradability and low toxicity profile.
