Application
Glycol Ether PPH (Propylene Glycol Phenyl Ether) is a slow-evaporating, hydrophobic solvent with low odor and aromatic character, making it especially compatible with phenolic coatings and acrylic-based latexes. It is widely used as a coalescent and carrier solvent in architectural and industrial coatings, adhesives, and paint removers. Due to its excellent dye solubilizing and carrier properties, PPH is also well-suited for textile dyeing applications. In metalworking fluids, it provides superior viscosity reduction, enhancing formulation stability and performance. Despite its molecular weight, it exhibits more hydrophobicity than expected, contributing to its effectiveness in coating, cleaning, and dye systems.
