Application
Glycol Ether PNP (Propylene Glycol n-Propyl Ether) is a fast-evaporating, hydrophobic glycol ether known for its high solvency, excellent coupling ability, and outstanding soil removal performance. Despite its relatively hydrophobic nature, it remains completely water-soluble and miscible with most organic solvents, making it highly versatile. PNP is primarily used in cleaning products—including general-purpose cleaners, glass cleaners, floor wax strippers, industrial and metal cleaners, and grease/paint removers—but it is also effective in coatings, inks, adhesives, cosmetics, textiles, and agricultural formulations. With a favorable environmental profile and strong performance at lower dosages compared to other glycol ethers, PNP is particularly valued in waterborne and latex coatings and aerosol paint systems.
