Application
Glycol Ether PM (Propylene Glycol Monomethyl Ether) is the fastest-evaporating solvent in the glycol ether family, known for its very high water solubility and strong active solvency. It is particularly effective in epoxy and high-solids acrylic systems, offering superior viscosity reduction compared to heavier molecular weight glycol ethers. Glycol Ether PM is also compatible with a wide range of resins including phenolic, alkyd, polyesters, nitrocellulose, and polyurethanes. Commonly used in coatings, printing inks, and cleaning applications, it can also be blended with Glycol Ether PnB in glass cleaning formulations, making it a versatile solvent for both industrial and commercial uses.
