Application
Glycol Ether PNB (Propylene Glycol n-Butyl Ether) is a fast-evaporating, hydrophobic glycol ether that functions as an outstanding solvent and coupling agent due to its dual alcohol and ether characteristics. It is commonly used in heavy-duty cleaning formulations, where its ability to lower the surface tension of water even at low concentrations enhances wetting and penetration of soils on hard surfaces. Glycol Ether PNB is partially water soluble and miscible with most organic solvents, making it versatile across various formulations. In coating applications, it provides good coalescing ability for systems requiring rapid evaporation. Additional uses include agricultural products, inks, textiles, and adhesives, where its high solvency and excellent coupling properties make it highly effective.
