Application
Sulfamic Acid is a versatile, water-soluble crystalline solid ranging from colorless to white, widely valued for its cleaning and chemical utility. It is commonly used as a metal cleaner and descaling agent for dairy and brewery equipment, while also serving roles in pH adjustment, corrosion control, and as a sulfonating agent. Beyond these functions, it is applied as a stabilizer in swimming pool chemicals, in pulp and paper processing, and in oil and gas operations. Additional applications include use as a catalyst in esterification, in the manufacture of dyes, pigments, herbicides, denture tablets, and fire extinguishing materials, as well as a coagulator for urea-formaldehyde resins, a chloride stabilizer in paper production, in nitrous oxide synthesis, and in household cleaning products.
