Application
Diisodecyl Phthalate (DIDP) is a general purpose PVC Plasticizer. DIDP is a high-molecular-weight phthalate with good permanence and high temperature performance, making it useful for wire and cable applications (DIDP-E), automotive interior parts, and outdoor use PVC such as roofing membranes and tarpaulins. Diisodecyl Phthalate provides an increased electrical resistivity for some PVC products that it is added to resulting in better insulation properties for the compound. Diisodecyl Phthalate also provides flexibility in lower temperatures, giving it advantages to other plasticizers for products for use in low temperature environments.
Grades Available
Non-Inhibited ("Normal", "DIDP-N"); Inhibited ("Electrical", "DIDP-E").
NOTE: **DIDP-E Contains 0.10-0.20 wt% 1,1,3-Tris (2methyl-4-hydroxyl-5-5-butylphenyl) butane antioxidant on added basis**
