Application
Diisodecyl Adipate (DIDA) is a versatile plasticizer known for its excellent low-temperature flexibility, low volatility, and good permanence. It is well-suited for flexible PVC applications, particularly where enhanced cold resistance is required, and performs effectively in low-viscosity plastisols for spread coating. DIDA is compatible with a wide range of polymers including PVC, cellulose acetate butyrate, ethyl cellulose, nitrocellulose, polychloroprene, and polyvinyl butyral. Common applications include general-purpose films, protective clothing, tarpaulins, and sheet materials. In addition to industrial use, DIDA serves as an emollient in personal care products such as deodorants, hair care, and skin care formulations. It also functions as a base ester in functional fluids, with uses in glass lubricants, greases, and as a seal swell agent in PAO-based oils.
