Application
Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP) is a general-purpose monomeric phthalate plasticizer known for its excellent solubilizing characteristics. It is widely used in applications such as adhesives, lacquers, surface coatings, and printing inks. DBP can also serve as a secondary plasticizer in combination with other phthalates for highly concentrated PVC compounds. Additional uses include its incorporation into vinyl-coated fabrics, shower curtains, and raincoats.
