Application
C8-C10 Fatty Alcohol is a clear, colorless liquid with a sweet, pungent odor, composed of a high-purity blend of petrochemical-based linear primary alcohols. It is slightly soluble in water and rapidly biodegradable. This fatty alcohol serves as a solvent in the production of detergents and surfactants, and is also used as an emulsifier, emollient, and thickener in the cosmetic and food industries. As a versatile high-purity feedstock, it is suitable for a wide range of chemical reactions typical of primary alcohols, including esterification, ethoxylation, propoxylation, sulfation, and oxidation. Additionally, it can be used directly in numerous personal care and technical formulations.
